Component 7
Instructional Strategies
Meeting a wide variety of student needs requires a “teacher’s tool box” containing many different teaching strategies and methods. In addition, creating interesting, innovative lessons based on students’ goals and objectives requires careful thought, creativity, and planning. When students are interested and engaged in the learning process, they demonstrate more on-task behavior and make academic and functional skill progress. In order to reach all of your students and help them achieve success, you must use instructional strategies and methods that will keep your students interested, engaged, and excited about learning.
